Multi-Car Collision Injures Four on Daly Avenue

On Saturday afternoon around 3:16 p.m., a chaotic scene unfolded at the intersection of Daly Avenue and Roseville Road, leaving four people injured in a dramatic six-car crash.

According to investigators, the incident was triggered when the driver of a white Toyota SUV made a hazardous turn directly into the path of a Chevrolet Silverado towing a trailer. The impact set off a chain reaction, causing the Silverado to collide with a white Mazda Miata and a Toyota Corolla traveling in the opposite direction. The force of the collision then sent the Silverado careening into a head-on collision with a red Toyota Tacoma.

As a result of the crash, the Tacoma was pushed backwards into a Ford Explorer. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene and transported the driver of the Tacoma to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Others involved in the crash sustained minor injuries, highlighting the swift and impactful nature of the collision.

The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the six-vehicle pile-up on Daly Avenue, emphasizing the importance of safe driving practices to prevent such incidents. Investigators believe a medical emergency may have caused the Toyota driver to lose control before the crash occurred. As a result of the accident, eastbound lanes #2 and #3 on I-80 near Horseshoe Bar Road were closed as of early afternoon to allow first responders and investigators to manage the scene safely. Stockton Man Killed in San Joaquin County Crash on Interstate 5

A 30-year-old man from Stockton died in a tragic crash Sunday evening in San Joaquin County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Interstate 5, south of Downing Avenue. Authorities said the SUV the man was driving veered off the east shoulder of the highway, slammed into a metal guardrail, then tumbled down a dirt embankment before becoming fully submerged in a nearby slough. Emergency crews from the Stockton Fire Department responded quickly and managed to pull the vehicle to shore. Sadly, the man was found deceased in the water by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office dive team. At this time, investigators have not determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
