Multiple Vehicle Crash in Antelope Sends Four to Hospital

Four individuals were hospitalized following a serious collision in Antelope on Saturday afternoon, reported by Sacramento Metro Fire officials.

The incident occurred around 3:16 p.m. at the intersection of Daly Avenue and Roseville Road, involving a total of five vehicles, according to fire authorities.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) provided details indicating that a white Silverado, towing a fully loaded trailer, was traveling westbound on Antelope Road near Roseville Road. At the same time, an elderly man driving a Toyota SUV attempted a risky turn from southbound Roseville Road onto westbound Antelope Road.

The sequence of events unfolded as the Silverado collided with the Toyota SUV due to the unsafe turn. Subsequently, the Silverado was forced into a white Miata and a Toyota Corolla. The impact caused the Silverado to travel in the wrong direction and collide head-on with a red Tacoma, which was then pushed into a Tundra, leading to a further collision involving an Explorer.

Emergency responders had to extricate the driver of the Tacoma, who sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital. Additionally, three other individuals involved in the crash sustained minor injuries requiring medical attention.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the multi-vehicle collision in Antelope.

An afternoon traffic stop on I-80 in Loomis, Placer County, took a dangerous turn when a California Highway Patrol vehicle was struck by another car. Stockton Man Killed in San Joaquin County Crash on Interstate 5

A 30-year-old man from Stockton died in a tragic crash Sunday evening in San Joaquin County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Interstate 5, south of Downing Avenue. Authorities said the SUV the man was driving veered off the east shoulder of the highway, slammed into a metal guardrail, then tumbled down a dirt embankment before becoming fully submerged in a nearby slough. Emergency crews from the Stockton Fire Department responded quickly and managed to pull the vehicle to shore. Sadly, the man was found deceased in the water by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office dive team. At this time, investigators have not determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
