Tragic Three-Car Crash in Riverside County LA Claims Six Lives

On Monday afternoon, a fatal three-car crash in Riverside County resulted in six deaths and left four others injured. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Gilman Springs Road near Bridge Street in Lakeview.

According to Cal Fire officials, the crash ignited a small fire that quickly spread to nearby vegetation, burning over 3.5 acres. When firefighters and emergency responders arrived, all three cars involved were on fire.

Initial reports indicated that four people had died at the scene, but this number was later updated to six. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

Four individuals were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious.

California Highway Patrol Sgt. Adrian Horta explained that the crash happened when a driver attempted to pass vehicles on the right shoulder but ran out of space. The vehicle then hit a guard rail and veered into oncoming traffic, leading to the collision.
