Twin Bridges Accident: Man Pinned Between Cars While Installing Chains on Highway 50

At the time, chain controls were in effect, and the posted speed limit in the area was 25 mph. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and the injured man was taken to the hospital with major injuries. His wife and 10-year-old son, who sustained minor injuries, were also transported for medical care. The Subaru had two teenage passengers, and CHP confirmed that all individuals involved remained at the scene until authorities arrived. Despite the severity of the crash, officials stated that the Subaru driver was not arrested or cited. The accident led to the closure of eastbound Highway 50 near Twin Bridges for approximately an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.
